As a farewell to deceased hike leader Carolyn Glick, we'll travel the Pecos trails she loved. So that many can make it, we'll leave from Jack's Creek Campground, where we can picnic after the hike past Round Mountain, to Pecos Baldy Lake. There we'll drop a small amount of her ashes, and then head back. A few not wanting to picnic could stay and do the extra effort to the peak, but that's not the plan. Since that's 12 miles RT, others can turn back in the Round Mountain meadows that should be full of late summer flowers, for a 6 to 8 Mile RT.
Rating: Moderate to Strenuous
Distance: 7 to Round Mtn, 13 to PB Lake
Gain: 1300' to Round Mtn, 2500' to PB Lake
Dogs: Well behaved OK
