Run Length: 7km-10km
Pace: 6:30-7:30/km
This route takes us through peaceful woodland trails before descending to the banks of the River Avon. We follow the river along a beautiful, tree-lined stretch before climbing back into the woods on winding dirt paths. Along the way you’ll tackle a few short, punchy hills, enjoy some fun singletrack sections, and, depending on the weather, may even cross the odd muddy patch or small stream. It’s a fantastic forest loop that combines scenic riverside running with peaceful woodland trails. 🌲🏃🏾
Don’t let the distance put you off! We take plenty of breaks throughout the run, and once we’re in the forest the pace drops to just above a brisk walk. It’s one of Bristol’s best running routes, so we’d love for you to come along and join us. We don’t leave anyone behind! Even if this is your first time running don’t be put off! These are socials runs and we all encourage each other.
Meeting place instructions: Meet by the Leigh Woods Coffee Shop next to the car park. You’ll see me in a bright orange top so can’t miss me!
