About
About the Club BLK Hiking Club events are intended for Black people only unless otherwise stated due to the limited options that exist for Black people to engage in the outdoors where we can easily see and engage with others who look like us and share our experiences.
While we appreciate the work of allies, they are encouraged to join one of the many other hiking groups in the Triangle
About the Event This will be a challenging hike with a lot of elevation. This hike is not recommended for children, or adults who have low fitness levels.
Feel free to bring a small cooler or, if there's room, your items can be stored in another person's cooler.
We will start at the Visitor's Center and hike southwestern the trail to King's Pinnacle. After that hike, we will have lunch by the Visitor's Center before hiking the northeastern trail to the top of Crowder's Mountain. Details for each trail are below.
