🌿About The Scenic Route Club
The Scenic Route Club is an outdoor event series within Friends Beyond Boston for people who enjoy getting outside but don’t always fit the pace or expectations of traditional hiking events.
Not everyone can, or wants to, keep up with a fast pace, cover long distances, or feel like they have to keep moving. Sometimes you want to stop for a photo, enjoy the scenery, have a conversation, or simply take your time without feeling like you’re holding anyone else back. There’s no prize for getting there first.
Our outings are generally shorter, gentler, and more relaxed, with room for breaks, conversation, exploring, and enjoying where we are. Whether you’re newer to hiking, need a gentler pace, are recovering from an injury, live with a chronic illness or disability, or simply want to slow down and enjoy being outside, you’re welcome here. 🌿

About this event:
Wanna be a little adventurous?
New in town? Looking to make new friends and meet new people? Come have coffee or tea with us outside in a beautiful scenic spot overlooking a river. ☕🌿
Fill up your travel mug with your favorite coffee, tea, juice, or drink of choice. Bring whatever you feel like sitting on, a chair or picnic blanket. You can also sit on a log or stand. Options abound. 😂
There are also some easy walking trails nearby if you feel like exploring a little. You can sit, chat, enjoy the scenery, or wander around a bit, whatever sounds good.
This is a laid-back, no-pressure way to build friendships with people in the area, no agenda, just good company and a great view.
Feel free to bring some bug spray just in case. I'll be bringing some in case anyone needs any.
And if you recognize the spot from the photo later... 🤫 shhh, don't tell!
